Peptide Index is an educational and harm-reduction reference. We sell nothing, we host no sellers, and we make no money from your data. This policy explains the little we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.

Who we are

What we collect

By default, nothing that identifies you. When you first arrive, we do not run analytics and we do not run the Meta Pixel. No advertising or analytics cookies are set until you choose to allow them.

The only exception is standard, short-lived server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability (for example, your IP address and the page requested). We do not use these for tracking or marketing.

If, and only if, you give consent through our cookie banner, we then collect:

• Privacy-friendly analytics — aggregate, low-detail measures such as page views and rough traffic sources, used to understand which reference pages are useful. We do not build advertising profiles from this.
• A consent-gated Meta Pixel — a small piece of Meta (Facebook/Instagram) code that fires only generic events, such as "someone viewed a page," so we can run retargeting and lookalike audiences. It is switched off until you opt in.

Separately, if you sign up to our newsletter, we collect the email address you give us (and nothing more than that is required).

What we will never do

These are hard rules, not preferences:

• We never send health data or peptide-interest data to Meta. The Pixel is configured to report only generic page activity. We do not pass which compounds, conditions, doses, or topics you looked at, and we do not tag events with that information.
• We never sell your personal data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Our entire value is trust. A privacy policy that promised one thing while the site did another would defeat the point, so we have built the site to match this page.

Our lawful bases for using your data

• Analytics and the Meta Pixel: your consent. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, we ask before setting non-essential cookies or running tracking. You can withdraw consent at any time (see below), and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give.
• Newsletter: your consent when you sign up. Any occasional service message about the newsletter itself may rely on our legitimate interest in running the list you asked to join. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Security server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.

How long we keep things

• Analytics: kept in aggregate form only, for a limited period, and not tied to your identity.
• Newsletter email: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which it is removed promptly.
• Consent records: we keep a minimal record of the consent you gave (or refused) so we can show we respected your choice.
• Security server logs: kept only for a short period, then deleted or overwritten.

International transfers

Our audience is global. Some of the providers we use are based outside the UK:

• Meta is based in the United States. If you consent to the Pixel, the generic event data it collects is transferred to the US under an approved safeguard (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, alongside any applicable adequacy arrangement).
• Our analytics and email providers may also process data outside the UK, again under approved transfer safeguards.

We only transfer the minimum described above, and never health or peptide-interest data.

Your rights

Wherever you live, if we hold personal data about you, you can ask us to:

• Access it — get a copy of what we hold;
• Correct it if it is wrong;
• Erase it — for example, delete your newsletter email;
• Object to or restrict our use of it;
• Withdraw consent at any time, including turning off analytics and the Meta Pixel through the cookie settings link, or unsubscribing from the newsletter.

If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. Children
